I specialise in a form of pre-production sound design that helps screenwriters and film directors to develop and craft stories for screen.

Just as a traditional storyboard artist uses graphic illustra-
tions to help filmmakers pre-visualise how each shot will be designed, I use an assembly of sound effects, music, and other audio materials to concretise a story’s setting and sequence of events. This work bridges the gap between page and screen by offering filmmakers a compelling and seductive way to experience and think about character psychology, non-visual narrative meaning, and the sonic particularities of a period in time.

I hold a Masters by Research in Sound Design from the
University of Edinburgh.
